This project was for a friend of mine who had written an Operetta and needed the music for it. For this project I wrote all the music and some of the lyrics. I wrote all musical arrangements and performed each instrument. I also completed all the mixing, editing, and mastering. After the film was edited I then lined up the finished music and added some sound design and effects.
I then created a Bandcamp page to host the soundtrack for the film. I made all the music free to download so people could have it if they enjoyed it.
This is a music video shot for The Run Around. My role in this was Assistant Camera and Sound Designer. The introduction scene needed sound design. I also operated a Canon T2i for half of the shots. I was shooting in 1080p, 24fps, in Cinestyle mode. Cinestyle is a free filter from Canon. It adds a gray look to the video and eliminates harsh shadows. The purpose for this is to flatten out the image for color correction. The shutter speed was 1/50 for most of the shoot. Aperture changed depending on exposure. It was my job to set up the sound system and light show for the video. I used the white audience lights to add a flat look to the stage and then used colored lights to add that show look and feel. The song was performed by the band many times while playing to the recording for sync. Audience and side story shots were filmed separate.
